Mr. Blodgett represents attorneys charged with professional misconduct in Vermont. From 1981 until the State of Vermont obtained full time "Disciplinary Counsel", Mr. Blodgett represented the State of Vermont investigating and prosecuting attorney misconduct.
Mr Blodgett represents individuals charged with crimes, including DUI. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Vermont Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and has handled criminal and DUI cases for more than thirty years.
Mr. Blodgett drafts wills, represents children in juvenile cases, and provides other basic legal services for Vermont families and individuals. He serves as a federal mediator in United States District Court civil matters, and as an acting judge in Vermont District Court.
Stephen Blodgett grew up and attended public schools in Vermont. He graduated from Harvard College in 1967 and St. Johns University Law School in 1970. Since then he has practiced law in Burlington, Vermont.

Mr. Blodgett serves on several family law-related committees, which are dedicated to improving the quality of family law in Vermont. He conducts seminars for other attorneys as part of Vermont's continuing legal education requirements. He has been appointed to conduct child support hearings as an acting court magistrate.
In 2007 Mr. Blodgett was awarded the Distinguished Pro Bono Attorney Award by the Vermont Bar Association.
He is past chairman of the Burlington, Vermont School Board, and a former Vermont State Senator.
Mr. Blodgett lives with his wife in Winooski, Vermont.
