Mr. Volk is an owner and shareholder in the firm of Blodgett, Watts, Volk & Sussman, P.C. He concentrates his practice in all facets of federal and state criminal defense work. He is the former President of the Vermont Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and is currently a board member, and is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Vermont Attorneys for Justice. Mr. Volk has been named as a "New England Super Lawyer"® since 2007 in the area of criminal defense.

Mr. Volk is a 1986 graduate, summa cum laude, of the New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was Symposium Editor for the New England Law Review. He has previously been an assigned counsel and public defense contractor in Chittenden County and has handled numerous criminal matters of all types in federal and state courts throughout Vermont and the United States. Mr. Volk also handles domestic relations, divorce and juvenile matters, as well as certain civil rights claims.

Mr. Volk is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Vermont, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
